2D Animation
Walt Disney was an American business magnate, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and film producer. From the walt disney company being created in 1923 it is still the most well known company around the world. the company started off with silent films from 1923-28. After the silet era then came Mickey Mouse and afterwards was when all te disney classics came to life.
Walt Disney created many classical films they are still the most popular films today. One of these films would be The Lady and The Tramp which was released in 1955.
Similar to what they done with the deer on Bambi, the animators studied many dogs of different breeds to capture the different personalities and movement of each dog. One of the most famous scenes out of this movie would be the spaghetti eating sequence. However, Walt Disney was willing to cut that scene out of the movie because he thought that it did not look romantic and that the dogs eating spaghetti would look silly. The animator for the film, Frank Thomas, was against Walt's decision and left the scene in the film in the movie and even animated the entire scene by himself without any lay-outs. Walt Disney was impressed with Thomas's work and how he made the scene look more romantic than he thought it was going to be.
Hanna-Barbera Productions, Inc. (also known at various times as H-B Enterprises, H-B Production Company andHanna-Barbera Cartoons) was an American animation studio that dominated American television animation for nearly four decades in the mid-to-late 20th century.
One of the most well known things to come from Hanna Barbera was Tom and Jerry.
Tom and Jerry was a series of short films that were created in 1940. In its original run, Hanna and Barbera produced 114 Tom and Jerry shorts for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1940 to 1957.
2D Animation - Task 5
Task 5
In this task we had to make our own FreeHand Graphic. I started off with drawing my own shape and I decided to draw a star. I drew the star by using the graphics tools of paintbrush. I then filled my star with a colour and i decided to chose a pale orange for my colour of choice.
Before settling with the star shape, i tried different kind of shapes and different graphic tools, for example the pencil. I then used different colours for the shapes and also i used a range of different brush sizes, settings, brush shapes and brush modes.
I then converted my star into a graphic symbol. I then selected a key frame of 100 and on that key frame i rotated my shape 180 degrees. Afterwards i tested my movie and the rotation worked so i was very pleased with my gif.
I liked this task becaue i liked how we were able to make any shape we liked and we were able to add any tween of our choice onto the shape.

2D Animation - Shape Tween
I started off by creating a new document in Adobe Flash. I then selected the Polygon Tool>Ellipse Tool from the tool bar on the side and then drew an Ellipse onto the stage. I then selected a key frame of 100.
I then selected the Shape Sub-Selection tool onto my shape and i then clicked on the shape to make it active. once i done that, i then pulled the shape in various directions to create the image above. i then hovered the mouse over the shape and clicked the right button and selected shape tween.
Once i done that i then tested my movie which given me my shape tween.

Olaf Title Task
I already created the Olaf waving but then i decided to add text onto the gif. Firstly i had to think of what i would write on the image and i decided to simply put 'Olaf the Snowman'.
Before i created the text i selected a key frame of 45. i didnt chose a key frame of 100 because i didnt want the text to be on all the way through the gif, just to be on for a while and then go off afterwards. Once i selected my key frame of 45 i then began to create my text.
i created my text by using the Text icon in the
toolbar and the Text column at the top of the screen.
I then went on the tab control and tested my movie.

Olaf
For this task i had to select an image and make a part of that image move. I decided to chose Olaf out of Disney's Frozen. Because the image i selected was 3D not 2D i had to add an effect of the image so it would change and look 2D.
Afterwards, i then chose which part of the image i was going to have moving and i decided to chose his arm to make i look like he was waving.
i done this by firstly selecting a key frame of 100 and then i carefully selected around the arm and moved it further up. Afterwards i then tested my movie and this was my final piece:

2D Animation: Scale & Rotate Exercise
I started off with creating a new file on Adobe Flash and I then imported a picture of a cartoon eye and I dragged it into the Library. Before I done that, i editied the size of the blank document and made in 600 pixels by 550 pixels as it was orignally smaller and I needed it bigger for this task.
I then dragged the image onto the new page, i then when on Modify>Convert to Symbol. My next instruction was to click on the tab at the top called 'Modify' and then 'Transform' and then 'Scale' and i then had to make the image smaller in Frame 1 to a maximum size of 40 pixels.
Once I resized the image I then scrolled along my timeline and created a Key Frame of 100. On that Key Frame I then used Modify>Transform>Scale to enlarge the Eye.
Once I have enlarged the picture I then slected Window>Transform and Rotate to rotate the image to about 180 degrees. Once I finished that I then clicked on Frame 1 and held the shift key down and i then clicked on Frame 100 and used the right mouse button to apply a Classic Tween. You know that the Classic Tween has worked because along the timeline there will be a long arrow going from Frame 1 to Frame 100.
Once I finished all of that I then tested my movie in Flash and I then exported the movie and saved the file as a .fla file and I exported it as an animated gif.
