2D Animation

Walt Disney was an American business magnatecartoonistanimatorvoice actor, and film producer. From the walt disney company being created in 1923 it is still the most well known company around the world. the company started off with silent films from 1923-28. After the silet era then came Mickey Mouse and afterwards was when all te disney classics came to life.
Walt Disney created many classical films they are still the most popular films today. One of these films would be The Lady and The Tramp which was released in 1955.
Similar to what they done with the deer on Bambi, the animators studied many dogs of different breeds to capture the different personalities and movement of each dog. One of the most famous scenes out of this movie would be the spaghetti eating sequence. However, Walt Disney was willing to cut that scene out of the movie because he thought that it did not look romantic and that the dogs eating spaghetti would look silly. The animator for the film, Frank Thomas, was against Walt's decision and left the scene in the film in the movie and even animated the entire scene by himself without any lay-outs. Walt Disney was impressed with Thomas's work and how he made the scene look more romantic than he thought it was going to be.

Hanna-Barbera Productions, Inc. (also known at various times as H-B EnterprisesH-B Production Company andHanna-Barbera Cartoons) was an American animation studio that dominated American television animation for nearly four decades in the mid-to-late 20th century.
One of the most well known things to come from Hanna Barbera was Tom and Jerry.
Tom and Jerry was a series of short films that were created in 1940. In its original run, Hanna and Barbera produced 114 Tom and Jerry shorts for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1940 to 1957.

2D Animation - Task 5

Task 5

In this task we had to make our own FreeHand Graphic. I started off with drawing my own shape and I decided to draw a star. I drew the star by using the graphics tools of paintbrush. I then filled my star with a colour and i decided to chose a pale orange for my colour of choice.

Before settling with the star shape, i tried different kind of shapes and different graphic tools, for example the pencil. I then used different colours for the shapes and also i used a range of different brush sizes, settings, brush shapes and brush modes.

I then converted my star into a graphic symbol. I then selected a key frame of 100 and on that key frame i rotated my shape 180 degrees. Afterwards i tested my movie and the rotation worked so i was very pleased with my gif.

I liked this task becaue i liked how we were able to make any shape we liked and we were able to add any tween of our choice onto the shape.

2D Animation - Shape Tween

I started off by creating a new document in Adobe Flash. I then selected the Polygon Tool>Ellipse Tool from the tool bar on the side and then drew an Ellipse onto the stage. I then selected a key frame of 100.

I then selected the Shape Sub-Selection tool onto my shape and i then clicked on the shape to make it active. once i done that, i then pulled the shape in various directions to create the image above. i then hovered the mouse over the shape and clicked the right button and selected shape tween.

Once i done that i then tested my movie which given me my shape tween.
